In my experience as an LGBTQ+ Resource Center Director I have:
Led policy initiatives that have adopted best practices for supporting queer and trans students on campus including safety policies, restrooms, and facilities
Led a strategic planning committee to incorporate consistent gender-inclusive facilities across campus
Developed and introduced an enhanced Safe Space training program
Prioritized supervision of FTEs and their professional development to center promising praxis for diversity workers in higher education
Worked with the office of advancement and alumni relations to implement a fee-structured program to subsidize student programming
Implemented assessment strategies to improve queer and trans resources, event, and programming on campus
Advised two student organizations for queer and trans life on campus
Developed department and division-specific training programs that gave those entities more practical tools and considerations to support queer and trans students in their work (i.e., financial aid, advising, orientation, housing, admissions, and the division of student affairs)
Facilitated the development of campus-community partnerships to advance the mission to advance the status of queer and trans people on campus and in the community
